Deadly Kobold Racing! (The Artless Release)

In Deadly Kobold Racing, you and your friends will race as small fantasy creatures through dangerous tracks, hurling weapons and abilities at each other while you aim for the goal. You’ll play a racer on the track and off of it, going from race to race to claim the greatest glory. 

Deadly Kobold Racing is a game for 2 to 6 players, each player taking on the role of one of the racers. If you are playing it exclusively for the racing, then all players will have the same role. If you are playing it with the intention of telling a larger story about the characters behind the karts, you’ll also have a GM who will help to propel the story by setting scenes, describing locations, and playing characters in the world who aren’t at the table. 

It uses the RADCrawl system which is a larger toybox of tactical games and scenarios within a shared post-dungeon fantasy world. The RADCrawl system takes significant inspiration from 4th edition Dungeons & Dragons, Apocalypse World by Vincent and Meguey Baker, and Errant by Kill Jester games. It’s designed to be played either as a one-shot board game, as a pieces in an ongoing racing campaign, or dropped into an ongoing dungeon game campaign.

This release is The Artless Release, a minimum viable product intended to show what the game is doing. Purchasing this will give you full access to the digital version of the game for the perceivable future. More racers, art assets, an illustrated track, and more will be coming soon! It currently contains:

The next release will add four more racers, world-wide achievements, paper minis, and an illustrated track!

Note: I've set this game as a donation game for a couple of reasons. First off, it's not done and I don't want to be unclear about that. You'll get more and more as it comes out, but for now it's early days. Secondly, I don't want to be deeply involved in finances with this game. If you don't want to pay, please don't. It is a free game so that I don't need to justify it's price. Thirdly,  people have supported my design for ages in a hundred ways. I want to give people the opportunity to have my games and play them.

If a physical release comes out, I'll definitely charge for that!
